Khamsum Yuley Temple
[Duration 2 hour, 1 hour to ascend and 1 hour to descend] There is no temple in Bhutan built elaborately as this. This fascinating temple was built by the Queen Mother of the 5th King to bring universal peace in this world. The best of the spiritual art works are painted on the inner walls. There are also paintings of Buddhist teachers and tutelary deities of the country. This is a great temple to study the symbolic meanings from frescoes and sculptures. The Chorten is situated along a hill up the valley and can be reached after a leisurely hike through the woods and paddy fields.
Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Lhakhang
A temple and nunnery perched on a ridge and overlooking Toebesa, Punakha and Wangduephodrang valleys. The temple is consecrated by His Holiness and was attended by His Majesty the King, the Fourth Druk Gyalpo, members of the royal family along with hundreds of people from Punakha. The temple is dedicated to the bodhisattva of compassion.
Paro Valley

A children’s park and an open-air live-band stage are also part of the Paro Ka Ja Throm. The market is envisioned to be a lively public space place for families and visitors to enjoy while also showcasing the best of Paro’s local produce. Day 5 Paro Bumdra Trek Day 1
Activities
Bumdra Trek
Hike from Sang Choekor Buddhist College (2,800m) to Yak Pasture below Bumdra Monastery (3,800m). The adventure begins with an early morning drive up to the Sang Choekor to start the hike to Bumdra. The initial 1–2 hour ascent of a ridge can be steep but most part of it will be under cool shades. We will reach a clearing with prayer flags and enjoy a spectacular view of both Paro and Do Chhu valleys. About 1-2 hours walk away is the Chhoe Chhoe Tse Lhakhang (temple); which nestles at the side of the mountain. The trail continues and when we reach the last steep elevation we will see a temple overlooking the views of Paro airport and the snow-capped Himalaya. After another 20 minutes of climbing through ruins and fluttering prayer flags, we hike into the ancient forest for about 40 minutes before we reach a wide meadow with sacred chortens and prayer flags. We will spend a night at Bumdra Monastery (the cave of a thousand prayers). Difficulty: Moderate to Hard Guided with mineral water
Day 6 Paro Bumdra trek Day 2
Activities
Bumdra Trek Day 2
After a hearty breakfast in the jaw-dropping landscape, it is time to either head straight back into the valley or linger awhile soaking up the view and perhaps hang some prayer flags of our own. Eventually, we have to drop back into the ancient pine and rhododendron forest on the monks’ zigzagging trail. After 1-2 hours of descent, we catch glimpses of the golden roofs of temples below and soon come upon the first of many on our way back from the wilds. The path snakes across the mountainside between the monasteries and temples before reaching the gardens of Sangtopelri (Heaven on Earth) from which you can bravely peer over the edge and straight down onto the ornate roofs Taktsang in the cliff far below. An hour later and we are at the gates of Taktsang looking across the gorge a steep descent to a waterfall then ascent on steps, and you are passing into the Tiger’s Nest itself. Retracing our steps we begin the final descent of about 45 minutes to reach our vehicle and drive back to your hotel. Not forgetting to stop on the other side of the valley and look back at what you have achieved. Taktsang Monastery is a prominent Himalayan Buddhist sacred site and temple complex located on the cliff side of Paro Valley. According to legends, it is believed that Guru Rinpoche flew to this location from Tibet on the back of a Tigress (his consort Yeshey Tshogyal) and meditated in one of the caves. Guru Rinpoche performed meditation and emerged in eight manifestations, and the place became holy, thus gaining the name Tiger's Nest. Duration: 5-7 hours depending on time taken in monasteries Difficulty: Moderate - Guided with mineral water
Hot Stone Bath
After the trekking we special arrange Bhutanese traditional hot stone bath for you to relax your muscles. The process of a traditional Bhutanese hot stone bath is unique. It uses Menchu (medicinal water) which is nothing but fresh river water mixed with Artemisia leaves. The water is heated using river stones that are roasted on fire till they are glowing red. The temperature of the water can be increased by adding more heated stones into a wooden chamber via a chute. This chamber is connected to the main tub (also made of wood) which contains the water. The holes in the chamber allow the heat to be infused into the bath (so there is no danger of being burned by the hot stones) and the stones are said to release key minerals into the water which are believed to have medicinal benefits. One can soak in the water for about half and hour after a tiring day. **additional charges USD 25 per person
Day 7 Departure from Paro
Today we will bid a fond farewell to this beautiful Himalayan country and take an early flight back home. We hope by now you would have made some friends and also kept many photos and beautiful memories of Bhutan! And we look forward to seeing you again in this beautiful land of endless Enchantments! My experience with DrukAsia started with the coordinator, Ugyen Dema, stationed in Singapore. I took reference from DrukAsia's suggested 10-Day itinerary and customised to my preferred 2-pax itinerary. During all my visits to the office, coordinator Ugyen Dema was patient in answering all questions and frank to counter propose suggestions that were not feasible to the itinerary.

My family have just returned from 7days 6nights trip from Bhutan (26 April – 2 May 2018). It was really an unforgettable, extraordinary, and exciting trip for us. From the beginning of planning this trip, the staff (Mr Sangay Dorji) was really helpful and responsive.
Upon arrival, our guide (Mr Namgay Tenzin) greet us at the arrival hall. On the 2nd day, the office called to make sure everything was okay (it was okay indeed). The food, hotel, and car are satisfactory (the hotel are : Osel Hotel - Thimphu, Zingkham Resort – Punakha, Metta Resort & Spa – Paro). Our itinerary was quite flexible. We even got to visit the Royal Bhutan Flower Exhibition while in Punakha. The highlight of this trip is Tiger Nest. We were all excited and happy upon reaching the top. During the hike

Good Morning Sonam,
Thank you very much for organising our trip to Bhutan.
We had a wonderful time, the scenery was just breath-taking and we loved being in the mountains. Bull was an excellent guide.
On the plane on the way home we sat behind the Queen as she was coming to Singapore on a private trip. We spoke to her on how wonderful our trip to Bhutan was.
Kind Regards,

Dear Sangay,
Thank you for your email. Trip was good overall with good weather and better than expected food/accommodation. Transport vehicle was clean and quite comfortable considering road conditions especially between Thimphu and Punakha.
Guide was a little inexperienced and perhaps unprepared. But she tried quite hard to make things work.so overall, still good experience.
Trek was easier than expected and camping experience more luxurious too. Thumbs up!
Regards,

Dear Eve,
Kuzuzangpo La!
First of all just want to thank you for organizing our trip to Bhutan. We had a great time. The place is serene and beautiful, our Driver Tshering is good, and our guide Ugyen was great. We felt the itinerary was just right - we get to see the important / significant buildings, and have little hikes to see great views. Unfortunately i feel sick night before the Bumdra trek (food poisoning) so I slept the whole day. Fortunately I recovered enough to climb up to Taktsang - which really was the high light of the tour. Definitely will go back for a proper trek next time.
We were both very pleased with Ugyen as our guide - first of all his knowledge of the history and culture was excellent, and able to explain to us in great details about the places we have visited.

Dear Sonam,
Kaadinchhey La for your email and apologies for taking such a long time to respond to your email. Straight back to work since then.
Personally, I truly enjoyed Bhutan and if I could, I would visit Bhutan again, that's for sure. Unfortunately, our flight delayed so we missed a number of sights in Bhutan. And of course, due to the roadworks, we had to adjust our timing as well.
We really enjoyed our stays in Druk Hotel and Metta Resort. And I like to thank your agency as well for allowing us to make amendments to our dinner menu at Druk Hotel on the second night, because we are small eaters and could not eat as much as the hotel provided.
It was amazing when it started snowing as we made our way to Dochula Pass on the first day.. it was gorgeous. And even during Bumdra trek,

Hi Sonam,
Kuzuzangpo la! Thanks for your mail.
We had a great trip to Bhutan and have had many wonderful memories of the trip. Our guide (Tshering Pelden) and driver (Ata Sangey) have been such a blessing to us. Tshering is indeed an experienced guide, sharing with us many stories and the history of Buddhism and of Bhutan. She even helped us very much during the hike up and down along the Bumdra Trek. She's a very strong lady! Please pass on my compliments to her. As for our driver, Sangey, he is a very skilful driver and was extremely careful driving through the dangerous mountain passes in the heavy rain. These people are indeed an excellent representation of Bhutan and its lovely people.
